"I wanted to create a space where women could sit down, exhale, and trust that everything would be handled beautifully."

Lumiere was founded in 2019 by Sophie Laurent, who trained in Paris and New York before opening her studio in Boston's South End. After years of working in high-volume salons, she knew she wanted something different — a quiet, focused studio where the craft came first.

Every product we use is vegan, cruelty-free, and sourced with intention. We work with a small number of clients each day so we can give each appointment the attention it deserves.
